Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter (born March 26th, 1991) is better known under her real title Ari Lennox is an American music producer and performer who hails from Washington, D.C. She is the first female artist to be associated with J. Cole's label Dreamville Records. The debut EP Pho, released was released on the 21st of October, 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. It was at this point that she began to get fame. Shea Butter Baby, her debut studio album was released 7 May 2019. Ari Lennox released her debut music on the internet in 2012. She dropped Five Finger Discount in 2013 and Ariography EP in 2013. Ari Lennox continued to upload her music on the internet in 2014 and released her own single Bound. Her music was also featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes and in Sweat It Out on 21 July 2015. J. Cole asked her to work with him on Rihanna's reference. Later in the year, her music circulated all over Dreamville. She was officially signed to Dreamville Records on 8 December. Backseat, the track she sang alongside Cozz on the Revenge of the Dreamers II album that they co-produced. In October 21, 2016, she released her debut EP named Pho. Ari Lennox later appeared on J. Cole's song Change and performed as an opening act on the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour in the year 2017. In 2018 she went on to perform as a guest artist on two of her songs along with labelmates EarthGang and EarthGang on Nothing but the Best and Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox's album debut Shea Butter Baby was released on 16 July 2018. The first single, called Whipped Cream, from the album hit stores on in September 5th, 2018, accompanied by a unreleased music videos. Her second single called Grampa on the 9th of November. In November, 13 the singer released two new singles titled One and Pdigree. One or Pdigree. The singer appeared alongside Cole in her Creed II Soundtrack on Shea Butter Baby On the 16th of November, and she released the song as a solo single for the album she released her debut. In February of 2019, a music clip was released to accompany the track. It's already received over three million viewers on YouTube within the first week. She was the supporting act for 6LACK in the From East Atlanta With Love Tour in December of 2018.
